Before You Come
What should I bring?
Your exact preparation depends on the service you are visiting for, but a few basics can make your first visit easier.
Bring a valid photo ID when required.
Identification may be needed depending on the service and applicable requirements.

UV tanning requires protective eyewear.

What to Expect
Each experience works differently.
Understanding the basics before you arrive can make your first visit feel much easier.
UV Tanning
UV tanning is available only to guests 18 years of age or older in Massachusetts. Protective eyewear is required.
The maximum time listed for a bed or booth is not automatically your tanning time. Sessions follow the applicable equipment exposure schedule and tanning procedures.
If you have medication, health or UV-safety questions, ask before tanning and consult your healthcare professional where appropriate.
VersaSpa Spray Tan
Spray tanning at BTS is automated, private and UV-free.
Preparation matters. Arrive with clean, dry skin when possible and avoid heavy lotions, oils and other products before your session.
Follow the rinse and aftercare instructions provided for the spray tan option used during your visit.
Red Light Therapy
Red Light Therapy at BTS is a non-tanning wellness and self-care service using visible red and near-infrared light.
The RLT service itself is 15 minutes in our full-body lay-down bed in Suite 2.

Yes. Approved protective eyewear is required during every UV tanning session.
I take medication. Can BTS tell me whether UV tanning is safe for me?
BTS does not provide medical advice. Some medications and products may affect sensitivity to UV exposure. Ask questions before tanning and consult your healthcare professional regarding medication or medical concerns.
Does a spray tan protect me from the sun?
No. A sunless spray tan should not be treated as sunscreen. Use appropriate sun protection when outdoors.
Does Red Light Therapy tan the skin?
No. Red Light Therapy does not use the ultraviolet light responsible for tanning the skin.
Do I have to buy a package before my first visit?
